Pea/Bean Pellets

peabeanpellets

The De-Corticating process of our peas and beans produces loose skins as a By-Product; these skins are pelleted to a size of 8mm. These are used, again as part of a ration with cereal pellets. Although the average protein content of Faba Beans is around 26%, peas slightly lower, the pelleted skin still retains a protein level around 15%.

The pellet is a good source of energy and fibre also giving the end user nutritional base for feed rations. They are often blended with cereal pellets producing a feed that can be fed to both sheep and cattle.
